eLearning Day Friday, Sept. 27
Thursday will be a normal schedule. We will engage in eLearning on Friday.
We are carefully monitoring the weather conditions and weather officials are forecasting rain on Thursday while high winds on Friday will make it unsafe for travel to school on Friday morning. With an early dismissal day, the winds are not forecast to be safe for travel before early dismissal either.
At this time, the winds are expected to clear by Friday evening allowing extracurricular activities to move forward as scheduled unless otherwise noted by the school.
eLearning Guidance for Early Dismissal Days
Instruction will be available online. Students in grades K through 12 will receive assignments and may also have access to digital materials through Canvas and Seesaw and can access those sites through Launchpad. All apps need to be accessed through Launchpad. Assignments will be communicated and/or posted in Canvas and Seesaw by 9 a.m. Friday morning.
Pre-K students will have packets sent home with them on Thursday to be completed and sent back to school in their communication folder.
All students will initially be counted present. However, if the assigned work is not completed and submitted within five days, the student must be coded as absent for the eLearning day. Since their assignments are just like any others, failure to do their work will be graded in accordance with the teacher’s grading policy.
Please have your child upload their assignments into Seesaw or Canvas.
If you do not have power, a device, or are unable to access the internet, you will have five days after the last school cancellation to turn in assignments.
If your student needs technology help, reach out to our tech team at:
Teachers will be available to help with questions during their office hours from 9 to 10:30 a.m. If you have questions about eLearning, please reach out to your student’s teacher or your school.
